As part of What’s Out There’s commitment to young people, we are keen to help each young person discover their own identity and sense of self-esteem. Organised outdoor activities can nurture a young person’s sense of adventure, and increase their desire to learn and develop skills.

Where possible, young people are encouraged to engage in the outdoors, enjoying the outdoor spaces available to us locally.

At What’s Out There, we place great emphasis on health and fitness. Whilst not all young people will choose to become elite athletes, the value of any activity and how this will influence young people’s development is important.

Young people will be encouraged to participate in a range of activities such as going to the cinema or bowling, or spending time with family and friends, including bringing friends or family back to Brookside.
